Here’s my favorite apartment decor ideas for summer. These ideas can be applied throughout the year, but they work best the first time you plan to decorate your apartment.
You can change the look of your home without actually having to start work. The only thing you have to do is get your paint brushes out and start getting paint on your walls.
I love how the idea of using rustic accent walls can incorporate both the natural beauty of the surrounding area as well as the architectural style of your new apartment. The best part about this is that you don’t have to build a whole new building. You can simply replace the existing walls and add your own accent wall.
I have a great tutorial on this in the video below. You can find it here.
We use rustic accent walls in our apartment in Chicago, so I know we can do this. Just make sure you really like the paint you choose. The main rule of thumb is to make the color work with your existing wall color, not on it. Don’t go for a color that clashes. If you choose the wrong one, your new wall might not look good at all.
One of the first things you’ll notice when you look at our apartment is that the walls are on a different color scheme. I think this is because we have a lot of black and white walls, and we wanted to keep the color scheme as light and neutral as possible. The new colors are also a lot more vibrant.
Your color scheme doesn’t need to be all black and white, but it doesn’t have to be. A bright and cheerful color scheme does not mean the walls need to be black and white. If you have a neutral color, such as white, you can still keep it bright with a color such as blue or yellow. If you have a bold color, like red, you can still keep it bright (but make sure it’s not distracting and makes the room look even darker).
Rustic decor is as versatile as it is fun. What I like about it is that it can be used to create a variety of different moods in the room. Like the look of a rustic cottage or farmhouse, you can add a rustic touch to an interior with lots of wood and open, natural spaces. If you have an open living room or living room, you can use it to create a cozy and cozy atmosphere.
If you’re going for a bright, cheerful look, go for a color like gold. Gold is a color that can really bring out the sunlight and give the room a warm, cozy feel. If you don’t feel like turning on the lights, you can also use it as a “warm up” color when you’re getting ready to go to sleep.
