These portraits rely on the Portraiture mod that allows for higher resolution character portraits. It’s a great mod that lets you comfortably view everybody’s 8+ heart cutscenes without ending up in some complicated dating ring, or if you just don’t fancy any romance in your game at all. Amaranthacyan does warn that while the mod has been playtested as much as possible, some inconsistencies may still remain. If you have already romanced all the other characters in the game, then Shiko can be a breath of fresh air. It may not offer the same story-rich experience as other mods in this collection but it enhances the overall storyline by giving the player access to new and unique areas. My ultimate goal with language translations is to include them in this mod and let the farmer choose the language, not to have separate mods for each language. But with this Harvey expansion mod installed, you get some new dialogue and a custom twelve heart event. Shikois a popular mod that adds a whole new character to the game. Shiko is a model that decided to move to Pelican Town for a quieter life. Like many other characters in the game, you can unlock her story by giving her gifts, doing quests, and stopping by to chat with her each day. Shiko is also able to be married, and comes with her own romance events for you to uncover.
Whenever you update this mod, the config file will regenerate and need to be configured again if you want to turn off any dialogue. One of the most frustrating things about Stardew Valley is the sheer amount of time spent tracking down NPCs. With this mod, players can simply use the map to check the spot of any citizen in town, making it much easier to deliver presents and increase their relationship with other characters. I’ve been picking games recently where the modders have expanded tools and mechanics in order to craft an ideal version of the game, so a fair few of the mods here focus on quality of life again.
This spouse rooms redesignedmod overhauls each room to give them unique touches for each spouse. Elliot gets a desk and typewriter due to his occupation as an author while Leah receives decorative paintings and art supplies to match her hobbies. It’s a small change, but one that makes Stardew Valley feel much more homely. After you have tied the knot, your spouse will move into your farmhouse with you, bringing with them a new room for their belongings and hobbies. Unfortunately, these rooms don’t feel entirely personal to each character, and are instead filled with generic items.
